Marc Scott Foé, son of former Cameroonian international Marc-Vivien Foé who died in 2003 in Gerland, was sentenced to 5 years’ imprisonment by the Assize Court of Lyon in France.
Charged for “armed robbery and kidnapping”, Marc Scott Foe was tried as part of an aggression of a Roman Catholic priest in November 2015 in Rhone. Scott Foé, 22, was found guilty and his accomplice, Sofiane Bardot, 20, was sentenced to the same punishment, as co-author of the kidnapping.
The priest, Rev Father Luc Biquez reportedly pardoned the accused. As a reminder, Marc-Vivien Foé, father of Marc Scott Foé, died June 26, 2003 at the Gerland Stadium in Lyon, in Confederations Cup, during the match Cameroon vs Colombia.
