President Biya has sent his congratulations to the elected president of Gabon, Ali Bongo Ondimba. In the message, Biya observed that:

 “Mr. President and dear brother, it pleases me to send you my warm and sincere congratulations on your election as head of state of Gabon.”

The Cameroonian dictator, who also moonlights as the dean of Heads of State of the Central Africa region, also noted to his Gabonese counterpart his wish for the strengthening of cooperation and friendship between Cameroon and Gabon.
