Japan: Single men looking for wives now learn baby-sitting skills

Single men in Japan who are looking for wives can now learn baby-sitting skills to increase their luck of finding life partners.

Bachelors take part in childcare classes that are organized by an Osaka-based company. They learn how to change diapers, how to feed and bathe and how to dress babies.

Participants in the men-only classes will learn spousal communication techniques and how to talk about their feelings. They are also asked to fill out a worksheet stating traits that women do not like a man to have.

The courses cost participants about 300 dollars and at the end of the classes a certificate will be given to the applicants.

Chantier Naval and PLACAM strike action rocks the streets of Douala

Some former temporal workers of the Douala Shipyard and Industrial Engineering Complex, Chantier Naval, where joined by another set of former workers from a Timber Processing Company, PLACAM for a strike in Douala. Both groups have been protested on the streets of Douala and even blocked the main access road leading to the Douala Port on Monday, 17th October 2016 over none payment of their social dues and better working conditions.

PLACAM workers who coincidentally were striking on the same spot as the ex-temporal workers of Chantier Naval said they wanted some of their colleagues who were unlawfully dismissed reintegrated. The former workers of Chantier Naval claimed that government recently made available 4 billion CFA francs as dues owed them, but they have so far received only one billion.

The striking action that started on the Wouri Bridge reportedly slowed down the flow of traffic. Security forces where however on hand to ensure that there were no excesses. The Regional Delegate of Labour and Social Security for the Littoral, Balbin Nkono explained that her services were contacted in 2010 by the former temporal workers of Douala Shipyard and Industrial engineering complex. A conciliation agreement was reached and signed by both parties. The former temporal workers signed freely the separation agreement and since then no complain have been received in her office. She said the agreement prohibited any further claims.

Regarding the strike by PLACAM workers, the delegate noted that the dismissal of 160 workers by the company sparked the unrest. She said negotiations have been launched with the former employers to ensure that all the ex-workers dues were paid.

Minister Dion Ngute receives the Special Adviser to the Secretary General of La Francophonie

The Minister Delegate at the Ministry of External Relations in charge of Relations with the Commonwealth, Dion Ngute and the Special Adviser to the Secretary General of La Francophonie, Jacques Bilodeau have examined the upcoming 16th edition of La Francophonie Summit in Antananarivo in Madagascar.

The meeting between the two men that took place in Yaounde on the 17th of October 2016 also reviewed Cameroon’s relationship with La Francophonie and identified possible areas for partnership.

Chief Dr. Dion Ngute and his guest reportedly shared opinions on security issues faced by member countries of La Francophonie especially the Boko Haram incursions in the Far North Region of Cameroon.

Boko Haram kills 20 Nigerian soldiers

The Boko Haram Takfiri terrorist group claims it has killed 20 soldiers and wounded dozens of others during an attack on military positions in northeastern Nigeria. The casualties occurred during “fierce clashes” on Sunday when the group “stormed a joint position of the armies of Nigeria and Niger” in the town of Ghashghar in northeast Borno State, according to a statement released by the terrorist group.

A community leader in the area confirmed the assault, saying Boko Haram militants fired rocket-propelled grenades at the soldiers who were taken by surprise. “Boko Haram launched an attack with heavy guns and rocket-propelled grenades on the soldiers. The attackers came in eight vehicles,” said the leader, who was speaking on condition of anonymity. “The soldiers suffered huge casualties because they were taken off-guard. They never anticipated such an attack,” he added. Boko Haram started its campaign of militancy in 2009 with the aim of toppling the central government in Nigeria. The violence sparked by the group’s militancy has so far killed more than 20,000 people and forced over 2.7 million others from their homes.

Many blame corrupt officials in Nigeria’s government and army for the continued militancy, as recent reports say Boko Haram is receiving some of its arms and ammunition from corrupt Nigerian officials. The militant group has expanded its terror activities to Nigeria’s neighboring countries. Troops from Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon and Niger have been battling the terrorists in recent months. The group has pledged allegiance to the Daesh Takfiri terrorists operating mainly in Syria and Iraq.

Biya’s poor leadership and weak diplomacy moonlights at African Union summit in Togo

As a consequence of poor leadership and weak diplomacy, built in the CPDM method of governance, Cameroon did not sign the charter on maritime security adopted by the African Union in the Togolese capital, Lomé. Since Biya does not want anyone to feel stronger abroad, Cameroon was represented in the October 15^th forum by two cabinet ministers: Laurent Esso, Minister of Justice and Mbella Mbella of the Ministry of External Relations.

In Lomé, the two Cameroonian representatives whose country hosted the first summit on maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea in June 2013 did not sign the Lomé agreement. Yet at the Yaoundé meeting in 2013, it was decided that the AU will set up a coordination centre for operations against maritime piracy with head office in Yaounde.

The absence of President Biya who for the past 32 days has been holidaying in Swiss evidently prevented the country from signing the Lomé charter. Nothing has filtered from Yaounde ever since the summit ended in Togo.

The Cameroonian dictator actually travelled out of the nation on September the 16^th 2016 and has ever since been holidaying in the Intercontinental Hotel in Geneva with his family. There has been strong condemnation from the Cameroon Diasporic Community against the 83 year old leader who has spent 34 years in power.

Cameroon Intelligence Report gathered from sources in Swiss that massive demonstrations have compelled the Biya family to check out of the five star hotel like a thief in the night and have relocated to a private castle in Lac Leman neighbourhood in Geneva. The castle of Route de Lausanne, on the shores of Lac Leman in Geneva, is one of the most expensive in the world.

Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren rally progressives around Hillary Clinton

US Senators Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts have teamed to jointly pitch the candidacy of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton to progressives, and denounce Republican candidate Donald Trump.

Speaking in the US city of Denver in Colorado, Sanders said, “We’re going to beat Trump and we’re going to beat him badly and we’re going to elect Hillary Clinton.” Sanders, who endorsed Clinton this summer after a long and bruising primary, vowed that the Democrats will “bring millions of people together to create a political revolution and to create a government… that works for all of us, not just the 1 percent.”

He warned that the United States could turn into an oligarchy, where a handful of the wealthy control the government, if Americans do not elect Clinton as president in November, claiming “a handful of billionaires are attempting to buy the United States government.” During the primaries, Sanders ran a close race with Clinton and promised to continue the fight all the way until the Democratic National Convention in June, where the party’s nominee was going to be named.

Towards the end of the race, however, Sanders changed his tone and bowed out in favor of Clinton. He suspended his campaign in July and endorsed the former secretary of state, despite leaked emails that showed top officials at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) privately planned to undermine Sanders’s presidential campaign, and helped Clinton stealing the nomination.

Warren calls Trump ‘selfish little sleaze ball’

Meanwhile, Democratic Senator Warren, who has recently intensified her attacks against Trump, also delivered a strong rebuke to Trump. Warren described the billionaire businessman as a “selfish little sleaze ball,” a “pathetic cheapskate,” and a “small, insecure money grubber.”

She denounced Trump and his economic vision for the United States and demanded Trump publicly release his tax returns, implying that the New York real estate mogul is lying about his true business value. “Donald Trump is a two-bit con man who just may be the worst businessman in the United States,” said Warren, a former Harvard Law School professor.

The US media has launched an offensive against Trump, publishing a number of reports in recent days in which several women claimed that the billionaire had groped and forcibly kissed them. Commenting on Trump’s vulgar comments about women, Warren said, “Donald Trump’s words. They don’t make me sick anymore, they make me furious.”

Trump’s campaign has also been marred by his disparaging remarks against minorities in the US. His comments include a call to ban all Muslims from coming to America as well as forced deportation of Mexican migrants. He has also pledge to build a wall on the border with Mexico to curb illegal immigration. Senator Warren said on Sunday night, “We will never build a stupid wall between here and Mexico.”

Republican Party office in North Carolina attacked with firebombs

A Republican Party office in the US state of North Carolina has been attacked with suspected firebombs, local officials say, putting another dark spin on an already bitter race for the White House.

The attack occurred on Sunday night, when a bottle filled with flammable substance was hurled at the Orange County GOP offices and set the furniture on fire after shattering the front window, the Hillsborough government said in a statement.

According to the statement, vandals then attacked an adjacent building, covering its walls with a graffiti that read: “Nazi Republicans leave town or else.”

Police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were investigating the matter and had yet to make damage estimates. North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory described the incident as “an attack on our democracy.”

Dallas Woodhouse, the executive director of the North Carolina, said the attack amounted to a case of “political terrorism.” He also asked all GOP offices in the county to close voluntarily before the end of the day. “This [the attack] will not deter good people from exercising their rights,” North Carolina Republican Party spokeswoman Kami Mueller said in a tweet.

The North Carolina Democratic Party also condemned the attack, with Chairwoman Patsy Keever saying that “violence has no place in our political system.” The incidents came at a turbulent time for the Republican Party, which has been torn apart over the nomination of Donald Trump for this year’s presidential election.

The bombastic candidate has raised many eyebrows with his disparaging remarks against women, immigrants and Muslims. Trump has proposed a ban all Muslims entering the US, saying America should run extensive background checks on them to ensure they are not linked to terrorists.

The billionaire businessman has also hurt the GOP’s stance among Hispanics by pledging to build a wall on the border with Mexico. He has also said that, if elected, he will deport millions of illegal immigrants. Trump’s campaign and the Republican Party have been hit with a much bigger controversy over the past weeks, after the candidate was seen using obscene language against women.

Despite Trump’s apology for the lewd tape, many senior GOPers have withdrawn their endorsements. Trump reacted to the attack by blaming it on “animals” who are “only tolerant when you follow them blindly.” His Democratic rival Hillary Clinton also condemned the attack, calling it “horrendous and unacceptable.”

French man Romain Martial wins Chantal Biya International Cycling Tour

French man, Romain Martial has won the 2016 edition of the Chantal Biya International Cycling Tour. The fourth and final stage of the tour was staged on Sunday between Sangmélima in the South region and Yaoundé in the Centre.

The race recorded some dramatic U-turns at the beginning when Ivorian, Issiaka Cissé won the first stage between Bafia and Yaoundé covering some 122,7km and gotten the yellow jersey on October 13, 2016.

Issiaka Cissé lost his yellow jersey after the second stage Yaounde – Ebolowa on October the 14^th to Swiss cyclist, Descartes Bussard Dimitri. The Moroccan, Soufiane Sahbaoui emerged winner of the third stage after riding through a distance of 131 km. The final stage was won by the Rwandan, Nsengimana on Sunday.

In the overall standings, the French cyclist, Romain Martial won the 2016 edition. It is vital to include in this report that the Moroccan, LAHSSANI MOUSHINE, won the 2015 edition.

11 shot dead in Central African Republic

At least 11 people have been shot dead in a camp for displaced people in the Central African Republic (CAR) a few days after over two dozen others lost their lives in fresh sectarian violence. According to a statement released by the UN peacekeeping mission in CAR, known as MINUSCA, at least 10 other people were also injured on Saturday after an unspecified number of gunmen started shooting in the camp, located in the town of Ngakobo, some 300 kilometers northeast of the capital Bangui.

It added that the assailants, who committed “these dreadful acts,” had not been identified yet. On October 12, 30 people were killed and at least 57 were injured in the central town of Kaga Bandoro, when a group of ex-Seleka fighters and their sympathizers reacted furiously to the death of one of their members who was killed when he and three others tried to steal a generator from a local radio station. The deadly incident occurred after the group attacked civilians and clashed with the UN peacekeepers. The UN troops killed at least 12 former Seleka fighters in the skirmishes that ensued.

In March 2013, the Central African Republic plunged into chaos when then-President Francois Bozize was toppled by the mainly Seleka rebel alliance only to be replaced by Michel Am-Nondokro Djotodia, the first Muslim to hold the presidency in the mainly Christian country.

The move, however, sparked a series of deadly retaliatory attacks between the Seleka rebels and Christian vigilantes known as anti-balaka, who reacted by engaging in full-scale attacks against the minority Muslims. One in 10 of the country’s 4.5 million people was forced to flee to safer regions as the impoverished nation plunged into violence along ethnic and religious fault lines. Thousands of people were killed and hundreds of thousands displaced in the resource-rich country, as it suffered its biggest crisis in its half-century of independence during the period of violence in 2013 and 2014.

In 2014, some 11,000 peacekeepers were deployed by the UN to the country as part of the established United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA). On July 23, 2014, Seleka and anti-balaka representatives signed a ceasefire agreement in the Congolese capital Brazzaville, but the country has not yet fully emerged from its bloody past.
