Prime Minister Philemon Yang has reportedly held a meeting following the events in Bamenda, capital of the North West region. The Head of Government met in a close session on Sunday the 4th of December 2016 with a segment of some prominent leaders from the North West Region.
The meeting which grouped some elites, Senators, Parliamentarians and other top government officials from the region, was organized following the recent street protests.
The end of discussion was sanctioned by a communiqué calling for peace and resumption of classes. The signatories assured the population that government has taken note of the problems raised by the protesters and that appropriate measures shall be put in place incessantly.
