Iran says any new war will engulf everyone in its flames
Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Ali Abdollahi has warned that any new war against Iran will have dire consequences for all sides and will “engulf everyone in its flames.”
In a message issued on Monday, Major General Ali Abdollahi said, “If a new war is launched against Iran, its flames will engulf everyone.”
He also pointed to the US military presence in the region as a source of insecurity and economic problems, warning countries hosting US forces that regional instability would persist as long as the American military remains in the region.
“Countries hosting the United States in the region should know that the main factor behind insecurity in the region and the emergence of economic problems is the presence of the terrorist US army in the region,” Abdollahi said.
He also rejected recent claims that Iran’s nuclear program has entered a military phase, describing such allegations as “delusional” and an attempt to portray Iran as a threat.
Abdollahi slammed Israel for possession of nuclear weapons, saying claims about Iran’s nuclear activities by a party possessing “several hundred nuclear warheads” were unacceptable and amounted to mocking international law.
He also warned international organizations, particularly the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), against baseless statements concerning Iran’s nuclear facilities.
“We warn international organizations, particularly the IAEA, to refrain from continuing to play the role of a wolf in sheep’s clothing and from making baseless statements about Iran’s nuclear facilities,” he said.
Iran is a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, known as the NPT, and has accepted extensive IAEA inspections over the years.
The country has also committed itself to a religious decree that bans the development of nuclear weapons and has repeatedly denied accusations by Western countries that it is working to build nuclear bombs.
Israel has never been a member of the NPT and has always kept silent about reports it has an arsenal of around 300 nuclear bombs.
Addressing US President Donald Trump, Abdollahi also said Iran is not waiting for the outcome of the upcoming US congressional elections, warning him against any anti-Iran move.
He said that regardless of the election result, any US action against Iran, either directly or at Israel’s instigation, would trigger an immediate Iranian response. “If he himself, or at the provocation of the child-killing Zionist regime, takes action against the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will immediately target US interests without limitation, with intensity and force and in a painful manner,” Abdollahi warned, referring to Iran’s response during the “Ramadan War.”
Abdollahi said Iran was “stronger than ever” and fully prepared to confront any threat, regardless of its nature or scale.
He further noted that previous wars against Iran had ended in failure for the United States and Israel, noting that the aggression had exposed deep weaknesses and instability within Israel.
According to Abdollahi, Israel launched the 12-day war against Iran after miscalculating Iran’s strength and subsequently sought an end to the aggression after suffering “powerful, effective and heavy blows” from Iran’s armed forces.
He warned that Israel would not be capable of confronting Iran in any future aggression, saying that if it initiated another war, Iran’s armed forces and people would respond forcefully.
