President Paul Biya has signed a decree late today Monday, July 4, 2016 granting presidential pardon to Franco-Cameroon lawyer, Lydienne Yen Eyoum. Since 2010, the Cameroonian dictator has been under pressure from the UN and the French government to release her.
Incarcerated at the Kondengui prison in 2010, Lydienne Yen Eyoum was sentenced in September 2014 to 25 years in prison for embezzlement of public funds. Yen Eyoum Lydian has now gained her freedom.
