Trump support eroding
US President Donald Trump’s support has dropped among his staunchest followers as he commemorates the 200-day mark of his presidency, a new poll shows. The new poll released by CNN on Monday shows Trump’s “strong approval” among Republican voters has plunged from 73 percent in February to 59 percent now.
Trump’s “strong approval” among white voters without a college degree dropped 12 percentage points from February. This group is often blamed for helping send Trump to the White House. Overall, only 38 percent said they approve of the job Trump is doing as commander-in-chief, while 56 percent said they disapprove. In April, the same poll put the president’s approval rating at 44 percent.
CNN and SSRS conducted the latest survey to mark the 200-day point of Trump’s presidency. Just 36 percent said they consider Trump’s 200 days in office a success, while 59 percent consider it a failure. Thirty percent of people said they don’t trust anything coming from the official White House communications team, while 43 percent said they trust some of it. Only 5 percent of those polled said they trust anything they hear from the Trump administration.
The CNN-SSRS poll was conducted by telephone between August 3 and 6, in which 1,018 adults across the country participated. The survey has a margin of sampling error of 3.6 percentage points. Last week, a new Quinnipiac University poll found that only 33 percent of American voters approved of how Trump was performing as president, while 61 percent said they disapproved.
Trump was accused of mishandling key issues like foreign policy, economy, immigration, healthcare and terrorism. The majority of voters said Trump was not honest, did not have good leadership skills, was not intelligent and did not care about them.
More than 50 percent of those surveyed also said the US president had attempted to derail or obstruct an investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. According to most other pollsters, Trump’s approval rating fell below 40 percent long ago.
An ABC News/Washington Post poll, released in mid-July, showed Trump’s six-month approval rating was the lowest of any president in 70 years. The poll surveyed people’s opinion about Trump’s competence on the world stage, his effectiveness, the GOP healthcare plan as well as his handling of Russia’s alleged role in the 2016 election.

There is an old saying, “Consider the source!” The liberal media in the U.S.A. Hate Trump. He is not a politician, but an outsider who dares to say what he thinks and fulfill pre-election promises. If he draws a line in the sand he means it. He’s not a wimp and not a bully, nor will he be bullied. He means what he says and does what he promises. This is SO unusual in Washington, D.C. for it is not business as usual. He doesn’t kiss and actually believes in doing what is right and constitutional. Trump is a breath of fresh air in a political process that has been corrupted by a liberal, socialist group seeking to impose their will on America and the world.
